My Story

For years, my 9-5 drained every ounce of energy I had. My days were repetitive, stressful, and left me with little room to grow or even feel like myself. I was stuck in a job I didn’t want, every day felt like chasing deadlines, and I rarely had the time or energy to enjoy life outside of work — my life wasn’t going anywhere I wanted.

In the back of my mind, there was always a small spark — the dream of starting something of my own. Something that would let me express myself freely, make decisions I believe in, do things the way I’ve always envisioned, and be creative.

When the burnout finally became too much, I stepped away from corporate life and took time to rediscover who I was. I explored new skills, experimented with different projects, and tried to figure out what I truly enjoyed. But the career break didn’t go the way I imagined. Financial responsibility pushed me to consider returning to corporate life. While job hunting, I kept learning and creating — and that’s when I realized how deeply I loved being creative. Sending my applications out feels dragging, I just hate the feeling of going back to office lives. I wanted to be in a place where my ideas were seen, heard, and valued without judgment. I knew then that the corporate environment would neber let me be my best, most expressive self.

I started experimenting with digital templates and slowly found myself drawn to creating greeting cards and invitations. Designing for celebrations, gifting, and joyful moments felt natural — it reminded me of how much I love making people smile through the small things. It felt natural, personal, and meaningful. Soon, the idea of starting a greeting card business felt more and more like something I could truly enjoy.

But like anyone starting from scratch, I struggled with doubts. Could I handle the stress? Could I afford to take the leap? Should I go back to the stability of a corporate job? As much as I want to

Then I came across a quote that encouraged me: “You are way too creative for a 9 to 5.” With that belief, I realized this dream was worth pursuing and decided to give it a try. Because I truly am way too creative for a 9-5.
